Patient and public involvement in research

With increased democratisation of medical care, globally, there is a movement towards involving patients and their representatives in various policy-level decisions, medical think tanks, and evaluation of grant applications. The patient and public involvement is routine in research projects in Western countries, but this is uncommon in LMICs.

Some of our current and ongoing research is exploring patient and public involvement in research.
